Great News: We’ve been selected among 200 film commissions around the world as a finalist for “Film Commission Initiative of the Year” by Makers & Shakers. FilMiami is proud to be the only County in the running in the United States.  The winners will be revealed at the live Awards Ceremony in BAFTA Piccadilly in London in December.

Industry Night Reception
The Miami-Dade Office of Film & Entertainment Industry Night Reception featuring keynote speaker Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and honoree Producer/Director Michael Bay was a huge success.  It was a wonderful evening for our film, tv, music and entertainment industry friends and supporters at Faena in Miami Beach.  Thanks to County Commissioner Senator Rene Garcia, Faena Theater's Executive Producer Brian Forti, GMCVB's COO Rolando Aedo, Miami-Dade College President Madeline Pumariega for your support and remarks.  A Special Shout Out to our amazing MC iHeartLatino's President and COO Enrique Santos who made sure all attendees had an amazing time!   Miami-Dade is the Global Destination for the Film and Entertainment Industry!  #MiamiDadeFilms #GlobalFIlmDestination
